India-The Mauryan Faction in RT-W

I've modded my game in such a way that Roman factions are united under Julii and Brutii is converted to Epirus, Scipii ic converted to Etruscans (Who refused to join the republic). The Senate Faction is Still left unused, Is it possible to convert The Roman Senate to an Eastern faction and use it as India in RT-W i've got all indian units from alexander. I also need a expanded map like in Rome Total Realism 6 for my R-TW 1.3 or 1.4 to use the Indian faction. Is the any alternative way possible to mod in this way ? please specify. I run my R-TW under the Rome Enhancement pack 2.2 for R-TW and BI.:help: :wall:

wow, thats awesome, you should put that to download when your done. you could use the mundus magnus map(i think the one in RTR), its gigantic. its in the forge.

It should be possible but you would need to rename the senate, make buildings for them, make the units from Alexander recruitable, and and give them a settlement in asia somewhere.

is a tutorial explaining how to use the senate as another faction in 1.5... i know you've got the scipii and brutii sorted but this will probably help :thumbsup:

GMM: The tutorial you linked to should be useful for changing a faction's culture, but it actually removes the Senate faction from the game.

svramjus: The Senate has to be treated differently. It's possible to do what you want, but I believe you must replace all references to the faction tag name romans_senate with a new tag. I haven't actually done this this, so I don't know the details.

i must have misread your tutorial then atilius... and it doesn't help that i don't have rtw installed at the mo :sweatdrop:

I am a beginer for modding could some one help me making the Game work on Enhancement pack 2.2 RTW 1.3 with BI.
I need some one help me make the map.

My current modifications

Factions

Julii is now Roman Roman Republic

Brutii is now Epirus (with pre-marian Roman legions and greek units)

Scipii is now Etruscans

Thrace is now Illyria

Decia is now Thrace

Parthia and Armenia united to Parthia

Armenia is now Nubia (just to give another faction with egyptian culture)

Roman Senate is unused

Units

Units from Rome Enhacement Pack

Pontus has persian axemen, indian war elephant

Parthia has indian war and armoured elephant

seleucid has indian war and armoured elephant, removed small elephant

Carthage small elephant replaced with tower elephant from RTR

What can I do now to make it more real and further add the indian faction, some one please assit and aid me. :sweatdrop: :help: :book:

Thanx Atilius, I heard that Britons did not exist as a faction during the Time of RTW and Britons are removed in RTR mod.

It is possible to mod britons to the Indian faction

I'll take care of the Indian units. But the buildings and traits are difficult.

:laugh4: Thanx for that roman_man#3 for your idea i combained the mundus magnus map and rise of persia map. So, The map will futher more extend to India and the settlements to the Indian faction can the given in india itself.

Umm. yes you should be able to convert Britons to whatever without much trouble..

Romans_senate is more problematic as Atilius says you have to convert their internal tag name to make them work as normal faction (and I've only done it under -mod BI.exe), please reply if you want more instructions on that...

I did download your link (48MB!) seems to have lots of duplicated RTW stuff but am not sure your bits are actually active, i.e. new .cas files don't seem to appear in the DMB you sent - have you got them working in game? And have you actually got a working campaign based off one of the maps you want to use (before adjustment) ?

Thanx Makanyane i've converted the Britons to India and now made the settle in the region Arebia in the default map, for now. until some one helps me work out the extended map.:help:
