I wish to report some admin abuse.
I'm forced to make a new name to post because of an undue warning i recieve has made it so i can't start a new thread or post for 3 hours, also if this isn't the correct forum then i apologise, move it to wherever it needs to go.
Incase you didn't already know this is Dayve, and one of your admins, Econ21, has it in for me, it would seem. He has warned me 3 or 4 times already for bad language, which is fine, but today i was warned for using the word 'bullcrap', which was neither profanity nor aggressive in the post in which i used it, Econ is simply fine combing my posts for any little reason he can find to warn me.
Since the whole escipade about swearing, i have curbed my language and actually go out of my way not to swear on these forums, which is difficult for me since i find it hard to express myself without swearing sometimes, so i consider it an accomplishment, but i've read the rules and it seems to me that the post i was warned for didn't merit a warn, and i want it removed.
I'm not trying to stir anything up here, as i know there has been lots of threads lately about swearing complaints and stuff like that, i'm simply looking for justice.
Goodday and thankyou. :egypt:

Well I don't think you're going to get much sympathy from the rest of the staff by creating a second account to get around the temporary ban. You should know better by now, Dayve.
Re: I wish to report some admin abuse.
Hi Dayve, I think you will find "bullcrap" is a swearword. Not unlike the "shit" I have already warned you for and about which you started a recent locked Watchtower thread:
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=72882
which in turn led you to swear, get warned and start yet another recent locked Watchtower thread:
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=72941
Anyone starting to see a pattern here?
And yes, it might seem harsh to warn you for using that word. I did consider editing it out and letting it be. But then I decided that would be mere cowardice on my part, because I did not want to receive another of your abusive PMs tell me to F-word off (thanks alot for tonight's by the way).
As I explained to you in your first watchtower thread:

There's a ratchet effect at work here. If you keep swearing, I will be less and less tolerant.
You swear repeatedly, usually to insult CA. I've tried the softly softly approach, it does not work with you.
[1] Here's one attempt I made to act as good citizen on our EB forums:
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showp...6&postcount=10
The edited out quote was something about RTW being utter shite. The moderator edited out the offensive words.
[2] Later, I edited out some "innocent" profanity from a post without giving you a warning (no reason to read this post as I've edited it, just linking to make the point):
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showp...66&postcount=7
[3] But then you made a post I thought about making a two-pointer, as it combined CA bashing with swearing ("shit"). So I gave you a one pointer and tried to reason with you by PM.

Can't you see that would be rather rude? CA staff are forum members and we treat them, like modders, with respect. It's just polite. And it avoids biting the hand that feeds us.
best wishes
Simon
[4] The next day, you came back and used "shyit", so I gave you another warning point.
[5] So then you started your first Watchtower thread and began ranting with the F-word.
[God, I am getting bored just typing all this out.]
[6] Then, after the second Watchtower thread, we have since enjoyed a brief hiatus, but here we are again.
BTW, I am not an Admin. If I were, you would be IP banned and out of here, as apparently you are banned from the .com. But TosaInu is a more tolerant man than me, so the game continues.
Just to be explicit, these are the rules I am playing by: if you keep swearing in a forum I moderate, I intend to keep warning you. You accumulate enough warning points, the automatic temporary ban kicks in. Hopefully, you will reform, leave or be perma-banned. Either way, problem solved. I don't see any alternative other than abandoning our no swearing rule, which I won't do.
BTW, unless sorely provoked, I am not going to debate this anymore with you. No offence, but trolls are not worth it.

lol funny. tell me why we making a fuss about these threads anymore??:dizzy2:
Re: I wish to report some admin abuse.
Because some folks feel the need to 'speak' on the internet using words that they know would get them, at worst, punched in the face, and at best, ignored by polite company, in any other 'real' place.
Mostly, these folks would never use such words at their family dinner table, or when talking to their mother. Why not?
Respect.
All the Org demands, is that, in this place, with these people, on these boards, members use the same self-censors they would use at a family gathering, out of respect for their fellow readers/writers.
Over time, even the most foul-mouthed of our membership 'see's the light', and understands our concepts of honour, respect, and tolerance. A miniscule few feel the need to fight the application of Org standards... but eventually, they either come around, or wave goodbye - this after enormous staff attention and time.
I'm not on staff now, but I have been. Believe me, staff agonizes (rightly, in my opinion), discusses, and dissects their decisions to apply sanctions to any Member.
They hold sacred, the right of any poster to say what they feel. They have the (voluntary) job of weighing those members' words against the overall good of the org as a whole. Have those words advanced the conversation, or detracted from it? Have those words expressed some new aspect not previously examined?
Mighty, weightful, challenging tasks, those.
Thankfully, this site generates visitors with the might and weight to tackle such challenges - guys and gals willing to help out their new-found community of TWgamePlayers. To run contests, administer Guides, organize subjects, and (yes) even slap the wrist of errant posters who've temporarily forgotten the 'respect' thing, because they got too caught up in the TW role-playing aspect.
In sum:

tell me why we making a fuss
because it's important.
