Has anyone discovered what causes this and why?... im just asking because it seems quite... strange, i've had 20% religious unrest in a 100% muslim area what the heck are they complaining about?.:inquisitive:
Is it other characters in the region or possibly neighbouring regions? i just cant work it out.
It seems that religious unrest can be caused by characters of other religious in the area, even if your province is 100% your religion. It might also be that some regions are hard-wired to produce heresy, and heresy comes from within and of course causes unrest. So maybe a build-up of unexplained unrest is the prelude to the appearance of a heretic or at least the outbreak of measurable heresy on the relgion-o-meter. But I don't know.
I've seen unexplained fluctuations. In my Byzantine campaign, I had religious unrest in Bucharest for a long time, but it dropped as the population converted from catholic to orthodox. I suddenly had a flare up from 5% to 20% religious unrest, but the catholic percentage was lower than it was prior. I have no idea what causes the changes.
Low piety governor can cause religious unrest. Have look at your governor and try moving him out of the settlement.
