There's a double standard in America today. Black folk, especially racist blacks, have the freedom of expression when it comes to the issue of race and morality. But white folks are made to be quiet and not even mention race or morality concerning black people and...

As long as white folks are afraid, and they have this false guilt about black folks, it's only get going to get worse, rather than get better.

PETERSON: If it's not. Why didn't we hear an outcry from the black community?

PETERSON: Alan � Alan, I just said they may not want to exterminate, but they definitely may want to divide and conquer.

You know, the sad thing about this, Alan, is that there are black children out there with no fathers and mothers to tell them that these black people are racist.

There was an incident this past Halloween in Long Beach, California, where a group of black girls beat up two white women. I mean, they nearly took their lives, and we didn't hear anything about that. Had white women beat up black girls or a black woman, it would be all over the news.

HANNITY: Jesse, we've got to run. We've got to run, but I'll you this question. As it relates to "Kramer" in this. Kramer used the "N" word repeatedly. Does that � does that bother you?

PETERSON: No. That doesn't bother me. But what bothers me is that white folks are building anger. They have a lot of anger because they are falsely accused of being racist. And because they can't speak out about it, it's going to come out at the wrong time in the wrong place.

And then you're going to have Jackson and others coming in and saying, "See, I told you white people are racist. Give me some money."

And that's why white Americans have to start speaking up...

The show a year old clip of this crazy racist black guy, and then get this other racist black guy on the show who claims that black people are more racist than white people. Yeah, that's fair and balanced reporting. It's just an extension of that "white guilt" "white comedians don't make offensive jokes therefore we are all oppressed" nonsense.

It didn't get reported on because no one takes him seriously. Kramer isn't big news because he's white, he's big news because he's Kramer.

Every race contains an element of nutters that want to exterminate another race and see them as the root of all evil, not just whites. When I saw the words "Fox" and "News" together I wasn't at all surprised either.

Hannity and Colmes are making an implicit but unstated position that this is what mainstream black America thinks and feels. This is simply untrue, and it's unfair of them to bring this guy (and air the inflammatory speech from the professor) without bringing somebody on who actually DOES represent mainstream black America. Support your claim; and are you saying that this guy is expressing "an alternative black viewpoint"? Technically you are correct, I guess. You're also saying that if Hannity and Colmes exposes some black wacko that they're fear mongering and race baiting (is that because they're white :inquisitive: )? That's another weak claim. Following your logic you are suggesting that they tried to portray Ward Churchill as your average university professor.

I think Ward Churchill WAS held up falsely as the typical (not atypical) boogeymen that lurks at universities. I loathe the guy and despise what he said. But I don't think he's representative of academia (but that's not due to the host of alternate views presented). Most college professors don't even engage in politics. But did you ever see FoxNews or CNN putting up 100 professors saying "I don't have time for this garbage, I have research to go perform" for every 1 Ward Churchill? How about even 1? Nope. Ward Churchill was the sole representatie of achademia.

Then we differ in our opinion, I watched the coverage on him and didn’t get that impression. The media, reporters, entertainers etc focus on what get them raitings, therefore they focus on extremes like that guy. That goofball makes for good radio and TV. To imply that Hannity was using him as an example of a typical university professor is false. I’d like to see how you’d fit interviews from 100 professors into a one hour TV show.

They have had Kwisei Mfume on the show before (or at least tried to, I don’t remember) but the show wasn’t about him. You’re making a strange racial jump here. Can we not be critical of someone of another race?

Of course we can. And we should be. My argument stems from the issue of context. How is the offensive view to be criticized being staged. If you were an alien from Mars and turned on the TV to Hannity and Colmes, would you have any reason to believe that not all black people agree with those two? All representatives of that one racial group espouse the same kooky theory about exterminating white people. Even one opinion from a black guy that it wasn't okay to exterminate black people, and he could add any other view he wanted to on top of it, would nullify my argument and silence me. But the producers of Hannity and Colmes chose not to go that route. All black people represented in that segment appeared to agree: they all want to exterminate white people.

We've tried that repeatedly in our history, no? How well has it worked out for us, on the whole? Just because another species doesn't share our DNA doesn't mean that they wouldn't be entitled to the same basic protections that any human being is.

This is not a trivial point. The above sentiment, when allowable, can be easily corrupted into an argument for genocide. All it requires is a strong, differentiating view of the other: white-black; white-red; Aryan-nonAryan.

I enjoyed Riddick (Colm Feore was great) but thought it was way too over the top. The 'Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay' video game was much better and not so grandiose, exactly what the sequel to Pitch Black should have been.

Anyway I forgot to add that this 'kill all white people' dreadlocked nutjob reminds me of this great Saturday Night Live skit from the Eddie Murphy/Joe Piscopo era. Tim Kazurinsky played this Air Force officer who scrambles to find a band for this function he was organizing and the best he could come up with was some wacky rastafarian band headed by a dreadlocked Eddie Murphy who opened with a song called 'Kill De White People'. Hilarious.

Who would that be?

How was the show fearmongering? If anything, the two hosts - who I assume are not of the same political leanings - united to belittle the professor's opinions and that of his black supporters.

So a show showcases a couple of nutters who happen to be black, a fact which they have built their cause around, without countering with any indication of what the rest of the black population think of these two "representatives". And then the hosts, who are white, belittle their black guests. Whoa, a great day for race relations there!
