I'm against the death penalty, but I'm sure many will agree with my saying that the scum who did this does not deserve to live.
I'm not sure the death penalty is appropriate here, if she did it. No-one puts their own baby in a microwave for fun-she must have serious mental health problems.
Sick.
I saw another article similar to this some time ago. It said that it was difficult to prove that the baby was killed in the microwave because of a lack of data regarding how human tissue reacts to microwaves of that intensity.
Well then I suggest that we test what happens to human tissue when subjected to high watt microwaves. Starting with this women as the first test subject.Quote:

What if the baby sitter did it ? Baby sitters do some ****** up stuff if America's Most Shocking Video's has taught me anything.
I wonder if she removed the plastic film
Holy crap this is sick. Agree with BKS, this is not an ordinary crime, she must completily nuts. Still pleeding for something that hurts long and much though.
Is it too Leftist Liberal Conspirator of me to point out no-one has been convicted yet?
Since there has been no information released on motive or psychiatric reports, let alone a conviction, it may be better to park the outrage.
A better discussion would arise from wondering how this woman will obtain a fair and rational trial when this kind of article is published alongside her photograph?
If she did it, she must be mentally unstable. That is just too sick.
Completely agree. People crying for her lynching before she has been convicted, let alone had a trial, is symptomatic for this forum and it gives me little hope in the western civil state.Quote:

Wait, let me get this right: so, China - more unstable than we thought - nuked Paris, Paris ceased it's struggle after just a few minutes without a single shot being fired, and now the Americans are going after China?Quote:
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- A woman suspected of killing her month-old daughter by putting her in a microwave oven was indicted on a charge of aggravated murder Thursday, and the prosecutor said he would seek the death penalty.
The indictment against China Arnold, 26, does not provide details on the death of Paris Talley.
Indeed you got it right. China nuked Paris and now America is attacking China to bail out the frenchies. :creep:Quote:

Luckily enough we have homes for such people, where they can be kept safely away from others until they get better.
Too gruesome for words, but BG is quite right -- we can't prejudge from the safety of the backroom. Issues that will need to be looked at include the babysitter, and post-natal depression.
Trail by media is bad enough, never mind trial by backroom. Let the investigation proceed, and let the jury decide.
And Louis -- totally inappropriate comments....

Um, can we consider ignorance here people?
Common practice to put children and lambs in the oven not so long ago.
Maybe in Devon.Quote:

As a parent, it's really hard to read stuff like this. I shouldn't have clicked the link. But by the time I saw the headline, it was already too late. Image in brain. No way to get it out. If only this were Saturday, I could have a stiff drink.
I saw this a while ago and decided against sharing it because it made me sick and angry.
Well you sure don't want to click on this then.Quote:

The funny thing is this: Most perversions and crimes I can relate to on some level, even if I would never commit them. Who hasn't wanted to murder an obnoxious person at some point? Who hasn't gazed lustfully on a gorgeous 17-year-old? Who hasn't looked an an intractable problem and thought, "Well, why not just kill everybody involved?"
But crimes against little children are beyond my limited lemur imagination. I really can't get into the headspace to understand harming a one-month-old child. I was cuddling with my three-year-old lemur boy a couple of days ago, and wondered to myself, "How can someone sexualize this? How do you even get there mentally?" There's obviously something seriously mis-wired in the brain of a person who can do it.
As always, I need to point out that there's a world of difference between understanding something and approving of something.
Sorry, that was a bit dumb of me. It's a particulary horrible case from the Netherlands, and I am a bit frustrated by it.
I couldn’t agree more. :bow:Quote:

If it's postnatal depression - and very severe at that - then it is transient and it will end. When you offer 3rd world healthcare to the poor, what do you expect?
If it's more longstanding mental illness, then she needs to be sterilised until she's safe to look after another one.
If it was for a kick, then fry her.
