How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
I am playing as Roman and only can do my normal army in my mainland citys....
I conquered Cartaghe, made Colony and Governement type II and still can't produce army there.... only auxilia.....
Is me that am missing something or the mod is like this? We can only do regular army in the original provinces.....???:inquisitive:
Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
I think it is meant to be this way as historically the romans didn't recruit hastati/princepes etc outside of italy.
I think you have to wait for the marian reforms before you can recruit legion-type units outside of italy.
Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
Nikolai is correct on all accounts. The Romans only recruited from Latin Colonies.
Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
Ah ok! But after Marian Reforms i can recruit legionaries in my Gov II citys?
When Marian Reforms appear in this mod? It is a fixed date? Or is randomize?
Please clarify me, it is the first time i am playing EB and i am loving it, but this recruitment sistem is to confused :(....
Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
you can find the reforms in the faq (didn't want to spoil it for certain people).
Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?

Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
What about southern Italy? Shouldn't they be able to built the pre-Marian roman units there? I can only build the, hmm, 'other' military buildings there.

You need a type1 gov't to build these units.
Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
I have them, but i only get the native barracks.
Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
In the current build there are only 5 cities able to build Camillan units. Segesta will be added in .81. It's not just a matter of having Gov1.

I had this too. Can you not build non-regional MIC's in conquered territories until the first reform (as Romans)?

Chill out. There is a lot to take in.
Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
I may be wrong but I think historically the romans didn't recruit infantry from those towns. I think the treaties they made with the southern areas was for them to provide sailors for the fleet instead.
Re: How can i produce regular army in conquered citys?
OK, so being in Italy doesn'y neccessarily count as being Roman. Gotcha, makes sense a bit too.
