As the Pope...

what can you do? I've tried looking but have so far found nothing. I finally got one of my cardinals as the pope but it doesn't seem like you can do anything. :furious3: So really what's the point of getting one of your own as the pope? Any help will be much appreicated. Thank you. :2thumbsup:

You can't do anything. All you get is that the Pope likes you, will acknowledge your Crusade requests more frequently, and I believe he sides with you more frequently in Catholic-on-Catholic action.

Other than that, its simply a pride and role-playing thing.

You also get a good boost to theologian guilds in all your cities when one of your funny-hatmen becomes head funny-hatman.

Nice, its pretty hard to get that early game as some factions.
