It's done every year. When I first visited this place it was Christmas last year and it was just like this.
You can, of course, have this skin all year round by going into User CP - Options - Skins (pick your choice). However I would not recommend it. We want Christmas to feel special when it comes now, don't we :san_wink:

Eek, my head starts to hurt already, back to the mtw2 skin for me. I'm glad you guys enjoy it tho, and it was a nice surprise logging on like this.
