Bug in samuraiwars_11b.zip fixed

There is a bug in the samuraiwars_11b.zip that is dated 11/06/2006. Although that version places the correct 11b stats in the main folder when first installed, if you use the stat swapper to enable Samurai Wars it copies the older 10b projectile stats into the main folder which makes the game incompatible with the 11b stats. This error propagated into the STWmod_beta5 installer that CBR made.

I've uploaded a new samuraiwars_11b.zip which fixes the bug. This corrected version is dated 12/24/2006. All you have to do is download it, unzip to a temp folder and copy everything to the main folder of your STWmod_beta5 overwriting the existing files. Alternatively, you can use Winzip or RAR to unzip directly to your main game folder. Microsoft's built in unzip creates a subfolder before unzipping the files, so unzipping directly to your main game folder doesn't work correctly.

The samuraiwars_11b.zip I uploaded on 12/26/2006 was still broken. It is now fixed as of 02/18/2007.

Great! If there are any particular maps you want to use let us know. The group now playing Samurai wars doesn't use the flat featureless maps like Steppe, as they prefer maps with some features.

How about adding a 2nd, 3rd and 4th entry for each unit so the taxlimit can be bypassed?

All Heerbann clan-members have installed samurai wars beta5 and we were able to join an open game, but in that moment we pick the first unit, the game crashes.

We think it depends on our german version of mtw/vi.

We are looking to get an english version but it's difficult to find in germany.

Is there anybody who has got experience with Samurai Wars beta5 in mp with a german version and can help us with our problem ?

In the meantime we have solved this problem.
Our beta_5 installer installs some files in Medieval/Loc/Eng, the default English folder.
Owners of the German version of the game need to copy all files that are in Loc/Eng and insert them into Loc/German.
That's all.

The next version will handle multiple languages.
