Re: Which mod is the best
Shaba Wangys Diplomacy mod
It is a must have.
They consider how powerful you are, your rep, overall standing. Makes AI so much better.
Re: Which mod is the best
Thats the problem with the mods. Too many of them. Not trying to knock the modders because without them we wouldnt have the needed improvements and they deserve big Kudos for doing it but it'd be nice if there was one mod that encompassed them all or at least the better/popular mods. Hopefully the M2TR team will encompass all this in their current project. :beam:
Re: Which mod is the best
Somebody should make a mod which incoporates the best mods into one.
Vice & Virtues & Ancillaries Fixes
Diplomacy Fixes
Weapon Animation Fixes
Shield Fixes
Pope Abuse Fixes
Re: Which mod is the best
Dont think there is a pope fix. Or a shield fix, if there is, point me please.
Re: Which mod is the best
Lands to Conquer includes a Pope fix, but preventing the player from offering territory or florins to the Pope's faction.
I'm still waiting for a shield fix.
Re: Which mod is the best
You could try repman's "Deus lo Vult". It's the closest thing to a comprehensive compilation that I'm aware of. Just look at the battle fixes section :

Disclaimer : I have not played it myself (not much time to play lately :shame:), it's just what I read about it at twcenter. Please read carefully the full modification list before instaling, it goes beyond fixing bugs.
Re: Which mod is the best
Medieval Litemod, IMO the most complete bug-fix mod without additional features that wasn't intended in vanilla (like shiledwall).

Re: Which mod is the best
Thanks guys,
The Medieval LiteMod looks quiet good as it makes minimal changes to the overall gameplay and claims to only correct errors/bugs.
I also had a look at Land to conquer version 2.0 and it looked very comrehensive. Does anyone know how it compares to the LiteMod?
Also what I didn't like in the lands to conquer mod is that it changed construction times, cost and population caps of settlements. Is there any way to use the mod and keep the original setting for those?
Re: Which mod is the best
That's what I don't like about Lands to Conquer either, how it changes some game elements like that. But perhaps it's possible to just use what you want. I'd think of leaving out some .txt files particularly regarding those said elements. But you'd have to know exactly which files they are. The file's name gives some information, and you can read through them, but you ain't always sure, probably.
Re: Which mod is the best
Its sad that we have to mod the game to get the real totalwar feel out of it, we shouldnt have to, the devs and pubs should have made the game great to start with.
