ok I've tried to ask this in totalwarforums.com and they told me to come here sooo plz help
I've been trying for a VERY long time to play multiplayer. Everytime i try to log in it tells me "failed to log in" or w/e it says. I've tried even with another account and still ddint work.I even put a invalid username and it still same "failed to log in"
soo can anyone plz help me i really want to play online

With a valid username and cd key, try to tweak your firewall. Might be the XP firewall, i had to disable it.
ok wiat i use McAfee sooo idk what XP firewall is lol.
im really not good wiht computers.
so should i dasable the McAfee firewall? and how do i get to XP firewall?
will i get a virus if i dasable them??

mh do u have some ip blocking program running? something like peerguardian? it blocks gamespy ip's which u need to log in.

It has been a long time since I turned off my WinXP Firewall, but you can google it and it will give you a link to a Windows article which will step you through each step in getting rid of it. If you have McAfee enabled, you really don't need to have WinXP's firewall enabled as well. You won't be any more likely to get a virus from disabling the WinXP firewall.
Also, once WinXP is disabled, and if you still find you are having problems, just turn off your McAfee program while playing, then turn it back on after you finish. The likelihood of you catching a virus during the short time you are playing online is minimal.

Sucks not being able to play online. :( There are some very odd problems with this TW game that weren't in any other.
I know people who can host 4v4s with little to no lag, but can't join anyone's game without crashing it.
There are those who can't log it at all.
Those that can log in and who can't join any games.
Those who host once, then must relog to be able to host again.
Very strange. And of course CA isn't very helpful, since they have always treated MP as a necessary evil and more as a marketing "feature" than a real aspect of the game.
Sorry to hear you cannot play Snoopey. I hope when they come out with the 2nd patch it takes care of your problem.
