Controlling Individual Soldiers?

After seeing so many huge battles in M2TW it got me thinking about how it would be pretty neat to be able to control individual soldiers through a 3 rd person view in a unit. I don't actually know how useful it would be but I do think it would add to the immersion. Also I'm not sure how easy or how hard it would be to implement it, all the animations are pretty much there as well as the view.. https://img250.imageshack.us/img250/6421/00703ey.jpg what is needed is some way for the gamer to control these animations. So anyway it's just an idea I had, what do you guys think?
