Hostage taking?
Hi
Does anybody know the mechanics of hostage taking?
I just finished a battle where only 2 soldiers survived from an army of 18 units, and yet i had over 250 hostages?
how does my army decide whether to kill a routing soldier or take him hostage?
Cheers :)

Re: Hostage taking?
I think at the end of the battle that you win, you will represented with a window where you can choose to execute or ransom hostages

Re: Hostage taking?
Routing units will always be caputered, not killed. In the lower right of the battle interface there's an icon that tells you how many hostages or prisoners you have. At the end of the battle the winner can decide what to do with those prisoners. If the losing side has captured some men, they simply return to their previous owner.

Re: Hostage taking?
It's one of the most annoying interface choices in m2tw that you can't see the number of prisoners that you've taken if you choose to use the only playable interface (minimal ui) :laugh4:
