-ai style autorun script?
Has anyone written a script that allows game to run on its own (as on -ai) for a set length of time and then returns game to player? I could really do with something like this to enable me to get to later stages in play testing, but unfortunately am not sure I have time or ability to figure out scripting..:embarassed:
I'm assuming if it where possible it would only be a relatively short bit of script, so if anyone could give some guidance as to what it might look like.. I'd very much appreciate it.
Re: -ai style autorun script?
There is a mod, the Year Jump mod by Epistolary Richard for BI1.6 does what you're looking for.
Here's the link to the thread for it https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=63870

Thanks that looks great :2thumbsup:
Re: -ai style autorun script?
Makanyane,
Did this work for you? ER's script does have a time limitation built in, but it's possible to work around the problem.
Re: -ai style autorun script?
Yes it's worked wonderfully, because our slavs don't actually emerge the time limitation doesn't apply, and I have another spare 'dead until resurrected' faction that can be used instead of sassanids, so it doesn't matter if they are wiped out or in battle either when the 'autorun' ends....
Actually works so well we're including slightly ammended (trigger moved) version as optional feature to vary the start of the mod! - (with credits to ER)
