Golden Horde crash. Help!!
:help: Okay, so my campaign game on domination is running fine, no complaints.
Up until the year 1230, at least. For some reason when I click "end turn," it resolves my land battles and one sea battle normally (I've got quite a few sea battles this year), when suddenly the game, "has encountered a problem and needs to quit." I think the problem might have something to do with the Golden Horde (which comes in 1230, or so I'm told). :furious3:
I have read of a similar problem that was resolved by manipulating the front end files, but I can't seem to find the article again. I personally wouldn't know where to start when it comes to something like that, but any suggestions would be helpful.
Just FYI, I'm running v1.00 w/o the patch, although it hasn't been an issue until maybe now.
Re: Golden Horde crash. Help!!
The original Medieval?
If it is then it sounds like a corrupt save game.
Re: Golden Horde crash. Help!!
if it is, how do I keep that from happening in the future? And would the patch help at all?
Re: Golden Horde crash. Help!!
Unfortunately, I don't think there's much that can be done. The only recommendation I can make is to not rely on the Quicksave function, as it has a greater tendency to be corrupt than a regular save-game.
I can't remember if the 1.1 patch helped this at all, but I recommend you get it regardless. It fixes several small bugs and makes a number of useful tweaks to the game.
Welcome to the Org, by the way! ~
