unit ranks?

Is it possible to alter how shallow you can make your unit ranks? I find that there seems to be a limit of 2 ranks deep when you drag out your unit. I was just wondering if it was possible to make it 1, so that when you have a unit with low numbers like 10 it can draw out in 1 rank of 10 men instead of the limit 2 ranks of 5 men. I think this would be really useful for cavalry, especially general's bodyguard.

If it's possible to change it, I have to say I haven't seen it anywhere. The EDU sets the default formations for units and the spacing between soldiers in the units, but I think the default minimums for ranks and columns must be in the hard code and therefore not able to be altered by us modders.
