How can I recruit Hypaspists as AS?

I think is a bug that i cannot recruit Hypaspists as Arche Seleyceia. I have build the last MIC in every city with type I goverment but nothing happened I only to hope if they are recruitable in Macedonia, if anyone know how to fix it(if there any problem).thanx in andvance:wall: :wall:

That was an oversight, and it has been fixed in the Patch.

If you want them in your game, it's not too hard to pull off, but if you mess up it will CTD your game. Follow these instructions EXACTLY (especially the first one):

1) In the EB\Data\ directory, find the file called export_descr_buildings.txt and MAKE A COPY OF IT!

2) Open export_descr_buildings.txt (not the copy) and do a search for hypaspistai

3) It will take you to a line of text that looks like this; recruit "greek infantry hypaspistai" 0 requires factions { macedon, } and hidden_resource SW and hidden_resource C and hidden_resource n1 and hidden_resource n2 and hidden_resource y4 and hidden_resource n8 (there are six lines total, one after the other)

4) Make the following change (red font) in all six lines: recruit "greek infantry hypaspistai" 0 requires factions { macedon, romans_julii, } and hidden_resource SW and hidden_resource C and hidden_resource n1 and hidden_resource n2 and hidden_resource y4 and hidden_resource n8

5) Spacing is key, and the faction name section must look exactly like this or the game may CTD: {<space><macedon><comma><space><romans_julii><comma><space>}

6) Save the changes and restart your game.

This should be compatible with your current game. If it CTDs, you made a mistake somewhere. If you can't figure it out, just use the copied file to restore the build back to it's original condition.

I remember like a year ago when I first started messing with RTW files, it took me a while to figure out that spacing thing.

Stupid coded thing, tiny errors and the whole game is unplayable.

I was on a trip and just return , well even if I have done everything in the right way as you adviced nothing happened, I canNot recruit these guys in current campaign I have also started a new one to chech if they are recruitable with a new campaign but no!:sweatdrop: :sweatdrop:
I didn't face any CTD too!
Maybe need to change something at buildings export or something?Let me know

Yes you are right ,:oops: sorry a mistake!:embarassed:
I meant if needed to fix something in sprites manner, or something, I am not sure what happened but the unit is not available, nor as an image in recruiting list not listed in the description of the last MIC.:wall:

are the recruitment issues with the pontics also because of the wrong faction written in the scripts? I would really like to keep playing my campaign, but i really dont have many units available.
