EB is looking for some Fans with:
1) Good broadband upload speeds
2) A knowledge of Torrents
3) At least intermittent availability to send and receive communications over the next 4-12 hours.

It's not gonna happen unless someone has some nice bandwidth to spare apparently :p I'm on a shared cable connection with an entire apartment complex and my upload varies from 10kb/s to 50kb/s which is pretty craptacular but still I offer it as a seed. Sorry I'm not at home with my uber upload speeds :(

My upload speed is kinda good I guess, BUT I have absolutly NO knowledge about torrents.. lets hope they found someone. Who will be our Hero?
Our ftp server is still "in the mix" (more on that in a separate thread), but we anticipate a fair amount of interest and want to have the maximum amount of options available. And yes, the time draws nigh.......

I have an FTP server I'm not using at the moment. It has very good DL speeds if I'm not mistaken. I would be glad to help out with hosting if you need it. PM sent to Kull accordingly.
The EB torrent tracker is a little sick at the moment, so the team is looking for a reputable tracker that will allow us to distribute the mod as quickly as possible to as many people as possible.
A recommendation would be greatly appreciated! :help:
Hmm, Kull, it looks like no one wants the new version any time soon. I guess it is time to announce a nice long delay...
Did you guys try PirateBay or other public torrent trackers like that?

Much as I'd like to help, I have good knowledge that my upload is only 128kbit and I have very poor knowledge of torrents :thumbsdown:

i know about torrents boys, and i can make em, but my upload speed has dropped in the past cuple of weeks to about 75kbs-150kbs max

Mininova is easy to use as a tracker, and Azureus lets you create torrents really simply.
I only have 256kbs upload, but Im willing to help if neccessary...
Of course with the swarm of peers you are going to get, you only need one really fast seeder to get the whole thing kicked off...
If anyone can send me the patch I can upload it to my server, you should get pretty decent speeds...

Got it too, and seeding now (100 Mb/s connection). I'll be seeding it the first few days when my PC is on.
Edit: Kugutsu, it's rumoured that most of the members of the EB team are in fact human, so maybe they need some sleep too ~;p
Yeah, but I was wondering about the proprieties here. Im guessing it would be rude for a non-member to start a get-it-here thread, but it seems sad that the torrent is out there but no one is going for it... I've uploaded to a few people, but its very quiet on the torrent at the moment...
We haven't officially announced it yet. When all things are ready, we shall. In the meantime, you're building a few new seeds quickly, which is a good thing. If people stumble upon it, good for them.

I'll would keep seeding if my connection would allow it.. By some strange reason my internet connection is lost whitin ten minutes when I use uTorrent. Luckly I were able to download EB before the connection were lost.

I'm downloading the 0.8.1 patch now and will contribute my humble 50 kb/s upload as a seed-aid for a LONG time. I've uploaded 12.4 GB's of 0.8.0 as to date, and hope to do better with 0.8.1! Yay!
Just to let you know that I've downloaded .81 from Bittorrent.com and am not able to start a new campaign.
I loaded .81 over a clean .80 setup and when I select any faction in the EB New Campaign screen and click on the arrow icon to load the new campaign I'm taken back to the EB New Campaign screen and doesn't respond when clicking on the EB New campaign option again.
When exiting, this dialogue box appears.

Just in case it's a corruption my end, I'm going to setup a new clean copy of RTW 1.5; load .80; and then .81.
I'll let you know how I get on.
Uhmm.. I also got an error, not the same though. Ill reinstall 0.8 and then 0.81, hopefully it will be ok this time. :juggle2:
