text un readable after modding...

hello all. im not sure this is the place to post this question but it happens everywhere.

i haven't played m2tw in about a month and yesterday
i installed a mod that expands the map with extra 50 territories (called "bigmap expansion 106"). it looks like a nice mod but ever since i installed it the text inside the game (menus, tutorials, city names, everything) is in jiberish. unrecognized fonts.

i deleted the new directory this mod had created (bigmap directory) but the problem is still there. maybe it has nothing to do with that MOD or maybe i didnt uninstall that mod properly.

anyone knows how to solve this without having to re-install the game?
