AI factions bankrolled by script?

I couldn't find it in the FAQ, but I seem to remember that the EB script "subsidizes" the AI factions because the AI handles money about as well as a drunken college student with a new credit card. Still true? And if so, can someone point me to a thread that discusses how it works?

Ah, OK. No allowance for number of provinces, level of development, etc.?

That's always been my sole frustration with EB: Not much point in blockading an enemy, or leveling their economic center.

No it doesn't. Current subsidies are of 1200 mnai per settlement held per turn, plus an additional help in the first few turns.

To me that seems backwards. Shouldn't it be something like 50000 per turn, with 1000 less per settlement owened.
