I've noticed that units in MTW2 all loiter back a bit from the main fight, so I thought of SHOVING!!! basically you order the unit to run into the enemy by double clicking behind the unfortunate victims, in which case the men in the unit automatically hit or SHOVE an enemy soldier during this, causing damage, this can work very well with all units, except cavaly, so don't it with them.
Click behind with cav when against inf and the cav will own the inf.
I dunno if it works with inf tho.
Works beautifully, I just tried it. Just run your inf into your enemy, they'll kill all of him and when they're done they will run further. Or press backspace when you hit his inf, thus letting your inf fight.
wander what happens if you rush cav and infantry through each other?
of course it would have to be infantry with matching morale to see the results.
Honestly I jsut find myself losing men when I do this... at least, if I don't stop them when they're in the enemy's area. If they keep running past, they end up getting slaughtered.
Doing it with light inf is a very bad idea if there not followed up by more heavier units (ie: Peasents charge in followed by Armoured seargents)
better to have more peasants instead of armoured sarges...shield bug...
