Dunno whether this is a bug or not...

Those army barracks are all the same, labeled VICTORY! with description "Warning! This baseline description should never appear!" or somesuch. Hasn't caused any CTDs or whatnot but just wondering whether it will down the road or what glitch caused it.
Re: Dunno whether this is a bug or not...
It might have something to do with the fact that you're not suppost to conquer that town.
Re: Dunno whether this is a bug or not...
And why not? I mean really, its there for the taking........

You can take it, but it is meant to be isolated. It is easier to isolate it instead of fully remove it. The town is going to be removed and the town slot is going to be used elsewhere.
If the bug is related to the town, it is doubtful that it will be fixed.
Re: Dunno whether this is a bug or not...
AH, well it makes sense. That town does look like it enters the Sahara, butthen I seem to recall that the Sahara is a rather recent phenomenon so I could be wrong. And it hasn't caused any CTDs that I am aware of, but I felt that the multiple Victory building thing should at least be mentioned.
Re: Dunno whether this is a bug or not...
:dizzy2: I've never even heard of buildings like that... :dizzy2:
When it gets moved, I'm sure the starting buildings will be changed, so it shouldn't be a problem then... whatever it is...
Re: Dunno whether this is a bug or not...
I hope it gets shipped to steppes... that's only speculation.

That looks like a mistake. My guess is they are supposed to be dropped in Terhazza (which you can't reach), but I'll have to check that with the script guys.

That's probably correct. Though, the fact that there are several of those not-supposed-to-be-seen buildings warrants a closer look.
Re: Dunno whether this is a bug or not...
In case it matters, they weren't in it originally (at least not that I recall) since I had at several times disabled the fow to check on the status of the world (cuz, ya know, those things interest me). They either spawned after I moved an army into the territory or after a few turns of sieging the town. I'm PRETTY certain it was after sieging since I first noticed one with 3 turns left and then one more each consecutive turn spawned. I thought for certain I'd done a no-no but it just seems that I now am the proud owner of 3 indestructible VICTORY buildings. I wish I could say more but I am >99% certain the buildings weren't in the town at the start of the game and I'm >75% certain it wasn't around until I sieged it or at least moved an army into the territory. Though I readily admit to not looking for/expecting anything from a town which I offhandedly decided to conquer just for fun...
Re: Dunno whether this is a bug or not...
It turns out you are looking at a feature, not a bug! The script is doing exactly what was intended. However, it's not as clean as we'd like, so we'll look to make some alterations to this "feature" in future versions of EB. There is no danger associated with seeing or owning those buildings, so just ignore them.
Re: Dunno whether this is a bug or not...
Good! Just for laughs I checked an old Romani save I had, in which that town was still Eleutheroi, and lo and behold it had 9 of these "feature" buildings! :laugh4: The residents of that poor town must be cursing the gods for popping all these strange buildings up. Just imagine, asleep one night, all peaceful, and when you wake up, ANOTHER Roman Army Barracks labeled VICTORY. And this one crushed your favorite bakery too...
