Hi, I've unlocked all the factions, and I'd like to be able to use elephants. Does anyone other than the Timurids have access to them?
They are available late in the game as mercenaries around Baghdad. I hired them as the Turks. I want to say a little after turn 100?
Elephant mercenaries become available after gunpowder. I forget exactly which year they first become available, but there will be no units available to hire for 25-50 turns after that point. I'm not certain if any faction other than the Timurids has elephants they can recruit normally.
You can only recruit mercenary elephants and mercenary elephant artillery in Jedda, after the invention of gunpowder.
