2 quick questions...Long answers ?
1 - Bribes ?
Compared to RTW, I've found that armies (Rebel or faction) are almost unbribable in MTW2. So what's th point of the diplomatic option ?
I even tried to max out my treasury with a cheat code and even with a high level diplomat, good reputation and so on, all my efforts went to nothing....
Is there a way to make bribing more efficient if not less costly ?
2 - Council of nobles missions ?
Most missions you're assigned have a benefit/penalty listed.
That's not the case with the Nobles' missions.
Can I get off with not penalty if I do not achieve those my missions as it seems stated in the descriptions or are there a behind-the scene consequences to ignoring those missions (loss of authority for your king or of loyalty of generals or popularity ie happiness in the population) ?
I ask this because I often get contradicting missions from the Council and the Pope and knowing full well the consequences of ignoring the latter (playing as France), I generally ignore the Council...
What do you think ?
Re: 2 quick questions...Long answers ?
1. Bribes don't seem to work that well for me either
2. There is no penalty for ignoring the Council of Nobles missions

I'm really not sure, but i'm sure that someone knows
Re: 2 quick questions...Long answers ?
Hmm! I just won my first MTW2 game as an indirect result of a successful bribe, so I can confirm that they do sometimes work. I can't say I use them very often though.
Re: 2 quick questions...Long answers ?
1: I've often tried to bribe somebody some time ago, due to my good experiences with that in M1TW. But I've never managed to succeed, so the rate of tries dropped slowly... Even if I try from time to time again, now with much more money in the bank :), but they always deny the offer...
2: I've never seen any negative consequences of missed nobles missions. I also understood the manual as there may be (1) rewards, or (2) penalties, or (3) both of them. So I never really wondered that missions without penalties exist (case 1).
Re: 2 quick questions...Long answers ?
You can bribe armies/settlements, i've done it many times. It justs a lot harder than in RTw where it was far too easy.
