From the brief part you translated it seems like it's the state that is involved, not a group of Christians. That is, in less you have a Christian theocracy.

No it's Rijssen, a very fundamentalistic town, which means that the "government" of Rijssen is that as well. And they would do anything to ban it, but they can't so they now try these things.
It's the same kind of people who wanted to ban Madonna because she crucified herself.

It's a town with 30.000 inhabitants, and a 60% Christian fundamentalist council. They can't stop the festival. I think they can't even sue the festival over the language used, even though they may try on the basis of some old local rule against public blasphemy. By the way, if the festival is so loud that the music washes all over the town, I think local authorities should stop or sue the festival on grounds of public nuisance. They owe that to their town. There are enough other places where they can make their god-awful noise, no need to shake up a little rural community.

That's it, you can hear it in the town like you can hear Lowlands in Lelystad. You know it's there, but you don't hear it. And that's what troubles the towns inhabitants.
