Spies...a question
Hi!
I have a brief question.
What can I do against enemy spies in my cities?
I mean I play the game since it came out but I actually never bothered. Just got annoyed today by a flood of Getai spies moving from one city to another and forcing me to lower taxlevels constantly. I mean I placed spies in my own towns so I'd discover theirs earlier put now I wondered if there is a way to get them out of my cities? My assassins are waiting but they can't kill them as long as they move from town to town and I don't think placing assassins in my towns raises the chance to kill a spy when discovered. So are there any anti-spy measures I maybe haven't discovered yet? :holmes:

Re: Spies...a question
if EB works like vanilla, then put a governor in the city and pray that he gets the "counter spy" trait
edit
when you say "spies", do you mean you put multiple spies in multiple cities or did you stack several spies in one city ?

Re: Spies...a question
How often enemy spies are discovered in your settlement depends on the 'public' security of it's gouvernor (as opposed to 'personal' security for assassinations).
I found it helps when you put one of your own spies in the town that's focused and let him build up a network. Sometimes the bastard's killed by the enforcements, sometimes he just sneakes out again. Don't know what the conditions are.

Re: Spies...a question
Hi L.C.Cinna,
Placing spies in your own settlements can help route out those enemy scumbags, especially if your spies have high subterfuge which is easy to get with settlements with forums! Hope this helps you, cheers!

Re: Spies...a question
Definetly have assasins on hand, try to train 1 per province that border or is close to the Getai. The spies cant stay in the city forever.

Kill the Getai, problem solved.
