Inquisitors--Getting Rid of 'Em--PERMANENTLY!!!

Good afternoon from Canada!!! I hope this finds you and yours well. As for me, I could complain...yadda, yadda, yadda.

I've been sent here by the gang at the Citadel for help with my problem. I have decided that modding them out is the best way to deal with the unholy devils. The last straw came when one of the Inquisitors killed my Brit merchant for just doing his job. Could somebody tell when it's heresy for just doing one's job?

I've also seen one of these guys take a swipe at the Spanish Princess. They might be the ONLY reason why I'm not enjoying this game. Otherwise, I adore it!!!

Many possibilities exist, most probably the Inquisitor was tiped off by a rival merchant who wanted to take over, and he may well have reported your merchant for using magic to enhance his business.

Historically, the Christian Church shuned upon any trade that used money to generate more money, while trade (goods for money) was ok of cource, money lending, banking and such pure financial practices were not allowed, as a result, these professions were usually occupied by non Christians. So maybe your merchant was also engaged in lending money with interest and thus the Inquisition decided to take care of it, doubting his piety, or simply considering it a Heresy.

All in all, this mechanism is there to represent the volatile nature of the Inquisition period, which was also used for political ends, Joan of Arc for instance, many many innocents were sent to the stake.

Just some thoughts.
