Disturbing discovery(?) in the Hero

Okay, I've probably got completely the wrong end of the stick here, in which case I'd appreciate someone setting things straight. I was moseying around in the HEROES.txt file, trying to solve this problem we have in that other thread (about the 1st heir in an era sharing the StartLeader's name).

This is about the English kings but that's only because of my ignorance of foreign medieval history (I can use Wiki to fix that, if I can find the time). Anyway, the same problem I've set out here could be affecting all the other factions too. It's going to be frustrating for anyone who wants their mod to produce kings in line with history if the mechanism of these lists isn't as clear as it could be.

Edmund I = mighty warrior3 (Edmund Ironside April-Nov 1016)
Edgar I = secret_tyrant3 (Edgar the Peacible, 959-975 or Edgar the Atheling, 1066 but "king numbers", in the French style, were only adopted after the conquest)
Alfred III = charity1 (again, who?)
Edward I = lawman1 (Edward I, Longshanks reigned 1272-1307)

So we have a motley selection of kings from eras totally irrelevant to the MTW campaign; three kings in correct historical sequence (and character? - dunno) and it would seem that "Alfred" should swap positions with "Henry" in the list.

Note: this is unchanged from the original state of the file. I can't possibly be the first person to have noticed this anomaly, can I?

Am I looking at the wrong names list, for instance?
