Mod for Succession
I read a bunch of posts about the sometimes wonky way the computer handles succession, and I was wondering if it would be possible to mod it to make it more intuitive. I've had a lot of wierd situations where sons were skipped for no reason, or people without any royal blood in them became king. I don't know if this bugs anyone else, but there's always a little voice in the back of my mind wondering "why is that guy king now?"
Does anyone have an idea of what file the rules governing sucession are in? I figure this is a quicker and simpler way than asking for CA to put a feature in a patch that not many people seem to be vocal for.

Re: Mod for Succession
Actually there's been quite a lot of discussion about changing the way succession works - it's one of the most common things I hear people ask about. The short of it is that it's entirely out of our hands as modders. There are traits that you'd think control it... but it turns out the traits are only used to reflect the stat boost that comes with the position, and don't actually control which guy is the prince. So it looks like asking CA to change it is the only thing that can possibly work.
As for how the system currently works, I'm sure that's been covered in one of the threads about this in the Citadel, so search that for the answer since I don't remember the nuances of it.

Oh, that's a bummer. I guess I was not thorough enough in searching. I'll commence with the thumb twiddling, then.
