AI is disappointing

I have to say, having played all the TW games, that the AI is not improving and, if anything, is getting worse.

The AI tends to make the same mistakes over and over. The biggest one is it will let its forces get way spread out, so that I can run in with my cavalry and wipe them out piecemeal.

The second common one is that it doesn't set up into any useful formation. The archers will be in front of the spears, while my cavalry decimates them, for example.

The third is the kind of armies it fields. It sends out armies made of one type of unit, which are easy to defeat. The Danish, for example, attacked me with three units of dismounted knights. I sallied and attacked. My one cavalry unit killed them all, despite the fact that he should have been able to rush my spears and win. It just sat there and waited to be killed, I guess because since I was "sallying", it was "Defending", and they didn't do much of anything except get plowed under by my cavalry.

Sorry for the negativity, but the AI in this game is not impressive. I wish they would work on it, because if they could improve it, the game would be perfect. As it is now, unless I'm heavily outnumbered, I almost always win battles, even in VH/VH.
