Marching Pikemen...

Back in the days of RTW, Phalanx units in guard mode w/o spearwall used to march in neat columns, trying to preserve their formation to the best of their ability...

M2 Pikemen in guard mode with or without spearwall walk on a perfectly flat terrain like a mob of drunken peasants, cutting each other off and completely disrupting their formation. Is there some trick to getting them to march properly?

Not that I know of, but I've noticed they can march better (but slower) while special ability is toggled.

i have heard someof those who downloaded the flawed patch that the pike animations are superb. at least thats what i read on the .com.

they keep their pikes until they are flanked. i will be eager to get thepatch when it comes out to see what they did to fix them.
