for me, my cohorts for some reason look like they're wearing bronze baseball caps backwards. My praetorian cohorts have the ear-holes, but my regular cohorts don't...the "caps" that the regular cohorts wear look weird

I always thought the point was supposed to be there. My only complaint is that they are real shiny relative to other helmets.

They look fine.
The "spikes" are there on the Coolus and Montefortinos of the time:

As I posted in another thread, the helmets which are wrong are the ones for Praetorians, Antesignani and Evocati as they all wear much later Imperial models (and the pants should go as well). Some people here said the Roman units will be redone at a later date when more important things are finished.
