Karthadast won't go away?
I tried 4 campaings, with different tactics, and no matter what i do i cannot recreate Punic Wars :(
I am playing VH/M, and taking it slow , since i really want to RP and enjoy(have 19 provinces as Romani in 223 BC att)
When i take Sicily(as Romani), i would negotiate peace , but AI would keep sending trops to Lilibeo , most of the time like small contigents, and i would defeat them.Till i get hold of Sardinia , then it sends over and over there.
I tried with raising their Capitol , or conquering, etc...( that is in previous 2-3 campaings, presently trying to fight my way historicaly)
Each time AI will accept ceasefire, then attack in next turn...Several times will pay me like 10k or 20k for ceasefire , and then will send 3 units against my whole stack in next turn.
I got more population, army,provinces, etc, but money then they are , and still nothing. It goes on , and i am in 223BC.
I can see that people were able to recreate Punic wars, but i don't see how that happens , other then to completely destroyed them after they get on me first time, which i can do it for sure..but kills me game for me not having Karthadast past 250-245BC.
Any thoughts or suggestions, and is it maybe VH setting that does this?
I wouldn't mind trying on Hard lvl but that will take away rebels besiaging cities from what i read , or it wouldn't?

Use force diplomacy mod. You find it in the mods section.

Still doesn't work, post a few High strenghth navies around your island holdings and never share a border with them, then make them declare war on the lusties or egyptians.

Have no borders with them, and they are in war with egyptians.Tried Navy thing as well, but they just recourse to another location and land there.
With high maintenance cost for ships , and now that i am in war with Sweboz (they expanded all the way to Olbia),i can't afford way to many navies to cover every single place.:idea2:

can you not appease them? give them a settlement, cut it off and hold it for ransom after a few turns when you know they've moved their family member/troops up because they will if they are to declare war on you again and wipe them out
Carthage only attacks me one full stack at a time, its full with their best family member and it turns into a massacre on their part most of the time

Oh, I forgot, I spawned alot of spies and assainins and Charthage had no family members it and I destroyed there abilty to build ships for about 10 turns and I destroyed there navy.
Try invading spain and giving teritories to them, so the lustonian staks desend upon them? The AI useually only fights on war at a time.

Maybe a small tribute of 200 mnai a turn might cool their jets?

Aye. If I border someone I don't fancy fighting, 200 mnai keeps the hordes away pretty effectively. Put a large number of turns though, because the turn after it runs out they besiege like 4 of your cities.

I give Pontos that in my Mak campaign as I fight the AS and they havent attacked me in 40 turns :beam:

I guess i really got them going , since i got no border with them and as soon i sign ceasefire i give them 200 mnai for 16+ turns ...
They still come after me next turn or so :dizzy2:
Only thing i can think of is that in pretty much killed every single family member that i runned into(probably around 12+ of them), so it's now personal ...:oops:
Sweboz is keep sending 4-5 full stacks on me, and Epyros is getting ready to attack to in Balkans. So far i got enough trops to hold them off(will most likely crush& conquer Epyrotes easily), but I will need to do something soon though, since i need to get one side pacified.

Destroy euripris so you have one out of 3 solved then hold the germans at bridges and then go after carthage?

Wow, that's odd. I don't know what to tell you, unfortunately.
Just use the Force Diplomacy mod to have them go to war with the Lusotannan; that might work (unless you've done that). The AI doesn't usually try to take on two factions at once.
