When does the new world appear?

I just finished my long campaign at turn 130 and i'm wondering how long I'll have to wait.

I count about 30 more turns

crap! 30 turns hehe,,, guess ill have to buildup a nice fleet and army to send to the new world

No need to build the fleet. You wont have access to the ships you need to get to america until you get the message allowing you to go there. And that fleet has to be composed entirely of those ships, otherwise you can't go there.

So, build the army, wait for the fleet:yes:

If you haven't changed the turns per year in "stats" , then the left side of your mini-map will change to an "unknown" black area, which means it's accessible, in the year 1400. There should also be a "world is round" announcement. At that point, you should also have ocean going ships available after you build the Naval Drydock.

I havent tampered with anything in the descr_stat ,, playing vanilla mtw2 :beam:
