Lands To Conquer Problems

I been using the LtC mod for a while now and last couple days I been running into a problem with it. At least I assume it has to do with the LtC mod. It could be the main game itself. I'm running the official patch 1.1.

Problem:

I start a new campaign and everything will run fine. I keep two or three save files for each campaign just in case one gets corrupted or whatever. When I'm done playing and exit the game and then try to go back and load the saved files the game will start and then everything just goes black. At first I thought a video card problem and checked that. Its working fine. Tested other games and it works fine with them.

I had this problem a little while back once before and basically I just deleted all my save game files I had and just started whole new games and that seemed to fix it. I chalked it up to a corrupted save file problem at the time.

Two days ago this started again. No matter which saved game I tried to load the screen would just go black. I deleted all the game files I had saved and started new games. But each time when I try to go back into a saved game file I get the black screen problem.

I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this problem? I've tried other PC games and everything is fine there so I dont think its the video card itself. Besides I didnt really have the problem before this except that one time.

I'm thinking next step is just to uninstall game and then reinstall. I'm thinking some game/mod file or something somehow might have gotten corrupted but I'm not sure how that happend.

Anyway before I do the uninstall/reinstall attempt I thought I'd ask if anyone else has experienced this type of problem or got any suggestions to try before doing so.

Okay, I've reinstalled the game and the LtC mod but things arent the same as they were before in my original setup. Originally all the rebel towns had no troops. Zero. Also there were no fortresses. Just villages. I had always just assumed this was intentional so the player could expand quickly. I never questioned it. Now after reinstalling (3 times so far) I see that there are now rebel towns, villages, and fortresses with troops in all.

I'm perplexed. Either I had a bad install originally or the install/s I got now is bad? The saves are working so far. I'm able to reload them anyway. I'm playing a short campaign though to fully test it.

In the LtC mod are all the rebel cities supposed to be villages and undefended or are they supposed to be like the unmodded game and be a combo of villages, towns, forts, and defended?

I could use some help here trying to figure out whats what.:help:
