I would like to suggest a further integration of predesigned scenarios with multiplayer play, across both LANs and the Internet. I have two reasons for this.
1) It will add significantly to the variety of scenarios that players can play, including playing with units that are at less than full strength, having balanced scenarios involving terrain.
2) By having predefined scenarios available for multiplayer play, it will be possible to script them in a way similar to single player battles. If they can be scripted in advance and the resulting battle logged, then it will be possible for the community to use that data as input and output for community generated multiplayer campaigns.
(BTW, I am still hoping for this in the final patch to Shogun, but I am not holding my breath.)
