If you need to add population really badly and you have the money, then go for it.
Last time I did it, they cost me about 11,000 for 4 units, and the next turn my income went from about 14,000 per turn to less than about 5,000. Did bribing a rebel army cause it? I don't know, but I sure had a tough time recruiting and retraining.
I'm glad to see that it works better for you.
Now I send out small armies of about 1 Cavalry, two infantry, and one archers, and they keep the roads reasonably clear. For population, I train up peasants or vigiles at huge cities, and discharge them at "growing" cities.

Re: i figured somtin cool out
The rebels only join you if you can actually train those units. Otherwise they disband. What I haven't checked yet is, does the rebels that disband in your teritory add to your population? I know that if you disband your own units anywhere in your own teritory they add to that settlement population.
Re: i figured somtin cool out
I have bribed some and discharged them inside my cities, and they added to the population.
On the other hand, for some reason, after bribing them, my income cut to a fraction of what it was the very next turn, and never improved again.
It's cheaper and easier to train up peasants at a huge city, and move them to the one needing population growth.
Send out a unit of 1 cavalry, two infantry, and 1 of archers, all with armor upgrades, and they destroy rebel armies, and sometimes get you a Man of the Hour!:beam:

There is this thing called grammar and punctuation. I suggest you try it. (directed to the original poster, obviously)

Please may I request that you keep this civil Afro Thunder. Not all visitors to this forum are native English speakers, many of them are Dutch or Spanish and may have rusty English skills. Also there are many other issues and problems which can cause poor grammatical usage such as dyslexia and dispraxia. We should tolerate and welcome such individuals into the .Org community rather than insult them and flame them for their problems.
