Of course we are talking about Pim Fortuyn who was shot by a single gunmen with no political ties whatsoever. What makes it somewhat more complicated is that not only 9mm rounds were found in his body, but also a 5.62 nato, the round our military uses. Hmmmmmmmmmm who would have thought!

There is no such thing as a 5.62mm NATO round. There is a 7.62mm, or a 5.56mm.

Well nothing in the quality newspapers so far, which usually means that it is true. Let's file this one under we will never know. Of course we do know, but hey.

We know nothing of the kind., The AIVD phone tap on Fortuyn has been denied since 2002 and nothing of the kind has ever been established. If Fortuyn's phone was tapped at all, it was either done by the regional police force (Regionale Inlichtingendienst) or by the shady real-estate characters who dominated his political movement. Some of those were control freaks. Besides, it seems that Fortuyn was susceptible to blackmail because of his 'sexual escapades with Moroccan boys'. In that case the tap would be in his own interest as well as that of the Dutch state since he was a possible future prime minister.

De Moord op Fortuyn en de Kunst van het Liegen

Op dinsdag 14 mei 2002 zei Frits Wester in het RTL4 Nieuws het volgende over de Commissie van der Haak, die het gebrek aan beveiliging van Pim Fortuyn aan het onderzoeken is: "In de marge van hun onderzoek zullen ze ook proberen een aantal complottheorieën uit te sluiten". Niet onderzoeken, maar uitsluiten dus, als vooropgezet doel. Demissionair minister van Binnenlandse Zaken Klaas De Vries liet eerder weten, dat bij zijn ministerie, de BVD en de Rotterdamse politie 'geen concrete dreiging' bekend was geweest. Een kind kan begrijpen dat dit een leugen van de allergrofste soort is. Alleen al door het feit dat Fortuyn eerder twee taarten gemaakt van stront, pies en braaksel in zijn gezicht had gekregen. Maar Klaas De Vries beheerst de kunst van het liegen tot in de puntjes. Dankzij zijn virtuositeit op dit gebied kon Klaas vaak de Tweede Kamer zand in de ogen strooien. Daarover later meer op deze pagina.
Ik ben in het bezit van een klein boekje dat met gemak door de heer De Vries geschreven zou kunnen zijn. Het draagt de curieuze titel "De kunst van het liegen" en is gedrukt voor de Britse Voorlichtingsdienst door de Landsdrukkerij te Londen in 1944. Het boekje beschrijft de prestaties van een groot Duits aartsleugenaar uit deze periode. "Er is in de grove leugen altijd iets geloofwaardigs gelegen, omdat de grote massa in een land in haar primitieve eenvoud van geest eerder het slachtoffer van een grote dan van een kleine leugen wordt, aangezien zij zichzelf aan leugens om kleinigheden schuldig maakt, maar zich ervoor zou schamen leugens op grote schaal te debiteren. Het zou nimmer bij haar opkomen enorme onwaarheden te vertellen en zij zou niet willen geloven, dat anderen de brutaliteit zouden hebben de waarheid op zo onbeschaamde wijze te verdraaien", was getekend, A. Hitler.

Het falen -als het niet erger is- van Klaas De Vries met betrekking tot de beveiliging van Fortuyn is dermate evident, dat een ieder die zitting neemt in een commissie die moet onderzoeken of de minister al dan niet iets te verwijten valt, daardoor al bewijst dat hij niet integer kan zijn. Als Nederland nog een rechtsstaat zou zijn geweest, dan was het onderzoek naar de schandalige tekortkomingen in de beveiliging van Fortuyn ogenblikkelijk in handen gegeven van het openbaar ministerie, om te bezien of de minister van Binnenlandse Zaken of anderen dood door schuld ten laste zou kunnen worden gelegd.
Ook het feit dat een van de grootste bestuurlijke criminelen van Nederland, mr. R. J. Hoekstra, in de commissie van der Haak zit, bewijst dat hier een schandelijke afdekoperatie wordt uitgevoerd. Hoekstra is namelijk meerde malen door de Tweede Kamer op de vingers getikt, omdat hij archiefmateriaal over de Inlichtingendienst Buitenland en over vuile zaakjes van Lubbers en Kok bewust en volstrekt illegaal door de papiervernietiger heeft gehaald. Hoekstra werd ook door Kok van stal gehaald, om middels een onderzoek à la Van Kemenade de parlementaire enquête Bijlmermeer te voorkomen.
Tijdens deze enquête viel Hoekstra als een aartsleugenaar door de mand. Helaas past het geheugen van de vaderlandse pers in een halve speldenkop. Of zou het feit dat er geen kritiek komt op de benoeming van Hoekstra iets te maken hebben met het feit dat dit oliemannetje van Kok lid is van het curatorium van het perscentrum Nieuwspoort in Den Haag? Tijdens de parlementaire enquête Bijlmermeer spraken kroongetuigen elkaar op kardinale punten onder ede tegen. Maar niemand werd aangeklaagd wegens meineed. Daarmee werd ook het zwaarste middel tot waarheidsvinding binnen ons politieke bestel een farce. Om maar heel eerlijk tegen u te zijn, ik geef geen cent meer voor deze zogenaamde democratie. Het is gewoon wachten op de grote klap.

Behalve de verkankering van wat eens een rechtsstaat was, is er nog een oorzaak waardoor de waarheid rondom de moord op Fortuyn wel nooit boven water zal komen, namelijk het feit dat mensen kuddedieren zijn. Hun neuzen staan vrijwel altijd in dezelfde richting. Slechts weinigen hebben de moed om op hun eigen kompas te varen. Wie in dit land ook maar suggereert dat achter de moord op Fortuyn wel eens een politiek complot zou kunnen zitten, wordt keihard uitgelachen en tot complotgek bestempeld. De wijd verbreide opvatting dat complotten in dit land gewoon niet voor komen, vormt nu juist de perfecte voedingsbodem voor samenzweringen, omdat ieder correctiemechanisme daardoor per definitie wordt uitgesloten. Analoog daaraan vormde onze collectieve overtuiging dat politieke moorden in Nederland niet voor komen, de perfecte omstandigheden om er een te plegen.
Rondom de moord op Fortuyn hebben zich merkwaardige zaken voorgedaan -ook daarover later meer- die wijzen op meerdere betrokkenen. Toch wist justitie zo ongeveer een uur na de moord al te melden, dat Folkert van der G. in zijn eentje opereerde. Als geen ander besef ik, dat complottheorieën bij politieke moorden altijd de kop zullen opsteken, ook als de moordenaar inderdaad een solistisch opererende gek was. Maar dat ontslaat ons niet van de plicht om met een open mind en in volstrekte onafhankelijkheid zo goed mogelijk te onderzoeken wat er nu echt gebeurd is. Maar een dergelijke geestelijke instelling ligt boven polderniveau en lokt een vernietigende reactie uit van alles dat kan afbreken in deze lage landen. Ook in de groep van vijftig rechercheurs die de moord op Pim Fortuyn onderzoeken, zal hetzelfde dodelijke mechanisme zijn werk doen.

Bijgaand treft u het artikel van Henk Rijkers uit het Katholiek Nieuwsblad van 24 mei 2002. Wat mij betreft verdient Henk de Pulitzer prijs voor zijn stuk. Niet zozeer voor de inhoud, maar voor zijn open mind, zijn moed en zijn liefde voor de waarheid. Helaas is KN niet meer in de kiosk te verkrijgen. Dat is doodzonde, want ze is samen met deze site zo ongeveer het enige nog echt onafhankelijke medium in dit land. Via www.katholieknieuwsblad.nl kunt u een abonnement nemen. Ik roep de lezers van deze site op om dat te doen. Ook als u geen katholiek bent en zelfs als u pertinent geen katholiek zou willen zijn. Met deze oproep dien ik geen enkel commercieel doel, maar probeer ik alleen nog iets te redden van de persvrijheid in dit land.

Well, that old column doesn't tell us anything.

Nor does the book which you refer to. It is published under the name of a 70-year-old actress named Ine Veen, but is is most probably written by her partner Jean Thomassen since Thomassen does all the interviews about the book and Veen shuns all publicity (I just called the editor at Aspekt, Perry Pierik, and he admitted as much). The duo are adding to their meagre pension by selling terrible holistic paintings and organising 'channelling sessions'. Local romour has it the woman is not compos mentis and Thomassen is exploiting her name and career as an artist. Recent tax fraud completes the picture.

The book itself is just a rehash of the five year old Internet conspiracy stuff I mentioned (the spectacular MCC-claim about a 'worldwide plot against Fortuyn') plus one fake 'police report' that says two types of slug were found at the crime site. Meh. Just another attempt to make money out of the affair. Fortuyn is long dead, so are his two-bit political views; only his death won't die..

Yeah right, even in your own town of Amersfoort the 'spreiding'* of school pupils started in 1999, two years before baldy went into politics. He took that idea from others, not the other way round.

And no one has ever heard anything about the rest of his famous 'ideas' again after May 6, 2002. The reason is he didn't have any.

Fortuyn's program was a mad hodge-podge of ideas that would never fit together and would have never worked out in government. In fact when the time came to govern, all his party did was squabble over personal issues. Oh, and over the huge debt let behind by the great leader whose entire campaign had been financed by his real-estate buddy Ed Maas. In a sense that was a personal issue, too..

The only Fortuynesque sentiment that persists today is a public aversion to Islam. It runs deeper and is more radical than Fortuyn ever advocated. None of his self-appointed heirs so much as refers to any other thought the big leader may have had. Entire episodes have been completely forgotten.

Which makes me wonder.

Do you recall that in his election platform Fortuyn proposed to completely scrap the army and air force and keep only the navy. "All we will have left is a few boats," he said. That is the reason why Fortuyn was against the Dutch puchase of (or participation in) the Joint Strike Fighter. Without an air force you don't need a figher, right?

However, shortly before his death Fortuyn met with American ambassador George Sobel and several Dutch air force brass who convinced him that joining the JSF would be a good idea after all. Fortuyn imediately gave a newspaper interview where he stated that he would accept the JSF, and on the morning of his death he emphatically confirmed this in a radio interview.

So I wonder what the conseqence would have been. Was F. suddenly in favour of maintaining a Dutch air force after all, including a JSF capability?

And I wonder about the sudden change. Was he blackmailed by Sobel? By this time Fortuyn was open to blackmail by so many people I wouldn't be surprised if Sobel had the goods on him as well. It's amazing, if you listen to the May 6th radio interview you are struck by the resolute tone when he sais he would buy the JSF no matter what, and the Americans wouldn't have to worry about a thing...
