Problems with custom battles in mods?

So I've been playing with my own personal mod, my game is patched up to v1.02 and I've ensured that all of my personal mod files were updated properly from the old v1.01 syntax where required. The problem I'm having is that some custom battles aren't working at all for me. like the River Po map. My personal mod is a barebones deal, there is no "Custom" folder under my data\world\whatever subdir, so there shouldn't be anything that would conflict. I've tried moving the "Custom" folder from the official \data\world\whatever dir over to my mod, same results. I can go to custom battle, select my armies, and launch the game, but it stalls when the loading bar is full at the loading screen. What's even weirder is I can hear the "tension" pre-battle music start after the bar is full, but I can't get there. At this point I have to ctrl-alt-del and kill the game through the task manager. River Po is the only map that I really seem to have this problem with. Anyone else having this problem as well? I am about 100% positive that I don't have any files or changes that should affect this, but I could be wrong. Looking for some feedback and suggestions.
