Kingdoms unit profiles on the .com
Anyone seen these yet?
So far there are 6 units.
Constable of Jerusalem.
Is a feudal knigth clad in the helardry or Outremer.
The description.
Dievas Guard.
I'm not sure if it's a light cavalryman or not. But it's Lithuanian, and they carry war forks.
Calivermen.
An Irish gun powder unit. Who weild a short matchlock called a caliver.
Cannons of the Holy Sepulchre.
Fairly certain it's a crusader unit. Great swords are their weapons, and they wear the Hospitaller habat.
Burgher Pikemen.
Look like a new HRE unit.
Ceitherne.
Basic Irish infantry. Carry axes and a buckler. Have no shoes.
Re: Kingdoms unit profiles on the .com
I thought these were already common knowledge to everyone, guess not? Though last time I checked I don't remember seeing the Cannons of the Holy Sepulchre, I'll have to check that out.
Re: Kingdoms unit profiles on the .com
I've seen them. I'd like to see what kind of makeover the Egys get.

Do they also carry small trinkets to be cast in volcanoes ? :laugh4:
Re: Kingdoms unit profiles on the .com
(Really a feedback on the locked "new TW movie thread")
You know what I hate about this movie ? They show you this awesome infantry clash, both sides just charging headlong at each other and mingling their first two or three ranks with the sheer momentum, when you *know* it never happens in game.
In game, the battlelines charge at each other, then stop a stone throw away from each other while a couple lads on each side slug it out in the middle. Then everyone makes doubly sure to have at least 5m of empty ground all around him, cause God forbid they could stay and help their brothers in arms :laugh4:
Re: Kingdoms unit profiles on the .com
It does happen, but only on grassy plains test battlefield with one unit on each side in a head-on collision. Pathfinding and AI really suffers in larger battles with dozens of units wheeling all over the place that have already been heavily disrupted by fighting.
I love how my mailed knights always get hung up by this one lone fellow in their target unit who wandered away from his friends to take a dump in the long grass. He absorbs the entire charge singlehandly, and then my knights get pwned by his mates.
Re: Kingdoms unit profiles on the .com
yes i have seen my charges be disrupted by the lone crapper too. Charges should be revamped
Re: Kingdoms unit profiles on the .com
any news on the norwegen faction on kingdoms?
Re: Kingdoms unit profiles on the .com
about the norwegian faction, according to some previews they are vikings... and the game is set ca. 1200.. yeez
I didnt even know we had interests in britain around 1200, apart from being formally part of the auld alliance, but I certainly know the viking age was over by then.
