My first persistent CTD! Hooray! :-P

Oh joy my first true CTD. Its been several crashes in a row so I figured I'd report.
I *should* have all the permanent fixes installed (I waited a while before installing 0.81a so the bugs could get a looksie).
The crashes are happening during the AI turn (above file is the autosave), and it has consistently crashed on Carthage's turn, which is odd. I'm pretty certain its not any weord rebel stuff since they should not have a city in the red unless I missed one and I really dunno what could be causing it. I wouldn't have been surprised if it was the Arveni turn it crashed on, since I have been playing around liberally with my money and buying Sweboz territories and giving them away to slow their advance.
The only mod I have is the Force Diplomacy mod, which I would have thought to be harmless.
As a side note, this campaign has been plagued by a large number of one time CTDs as opposed to my other 0.81a campaign as the Romani. Again, I find this odd, since I had the same fixes and mod installed for both. But this one has repeated 4 times in a row so far so I'm reporting this. Hope its useful and if I forgot something I apologize from my sleepy heart.

I got past the crash with one of the temp fixes. Don't know which one yet, I installed them all at once. Cool AI progression BTW! I like that the Sweboz and Arverni have switched places :inquisitive:.

Heh well like I said I'd been playing with my money. The Sweboz had actually passed on taking the eastern Baltic territories and focused all their energy on Gaul so when I eliminated the Romani (since I prefered to beat up on an Epeirotic state that owes its life to me) I gave the Central European Celtic cities to the Arveni and the happily began to snatch up eastern europe after about 10 years of wondering what to do. I HAD a nice dynamic going of Aedui empire (all of Gaul plus bits of Iberia) versus Arveni and Sweboz and Arveni versus Epeiros but the Epeiros/Aedui combo proved too much for the Arveni after a while, especially once the first Celtic reforms hit and the Aedui began pumping out Carnute Cingetos. Thankfully Epeiros betrayed the Aedui and blitzed them, which had the unfortunate effect of unleashing the Sweboz upon Gaul. In less than 5 years the went from only having part of the Belgae to owning all of Gaul except the area we would have called Vichy France in WWII. I HAD to take action once they declared war on the Arveni as well, since I was in no mood to face an over-eager Proto-Reich. So, sitting on roughly 2M mnai I decided to do some purchasing and redistributing. 700K got me almost all of Gaul plus every Swebic homeland excelt the capital which had moved to Gawjam-Heruskoz. What you see is roughly two years of vigorous Swebic re-conquering. I get the feeling I'll be having to preemptively declare war on them soon just to weaken them.
Also, I have a hunch it may the the trait file nerf temp fix. I'll try when I get the time later tonight.

Orrrr I can't. My computer hates RAR filesl every one I've D/L'ed over the past year+ has been "corrupt", supposedly. Is there a non-rar version of the temp fixes I can get my mitts on?

If you install 0.81a v2 you'll get the temp fixes along with it. There's no way those are corrupt. Possibly your extractor program is screwed though, there are several free programs that can extract files from rar archives, you may want to google for them.

There's no non-rar version available. I may put one up sometime, but not until the end of the weekend at least.

Heh well thankee much. I just got rid of my old rar extractor and got one of the free ones and all is good. Since you know one of the temp files works I am happy. I'l get around to it soon, after my bout of computer-game burnout ends.
And I presume 0.81av2 is compatible with my old 0.81a saves, no? Didn't seem like you did anything major, and all I might have to do is replace the Force Diplomacy mod and choose one of those modified money scripts.

EDIT: Answered my own question (yes they are). Plus the broader rebellion temp fix worked, which means it must have been a rebellion somewhere that I missed! Bummer. Will it terribly screw with my game to just leave it in or should I go back to the official EDB?
