What I mean is the feature that was available in original STW but which mysteriously vanished from WE. With an army selected, you could change the order in which the units were displayed at the bottom of the screen by successively picking them up and popping them back on. I grant that some readers may find this obsessive, but apart from being good for the control freaks among us, it was very handy for at-a-glance assessments and comparisons. If the relevant persons are reading, may we have it back in MTW please?
An unrelated feature I have often wanted in STW is news from far off. In the early stages, especially, I would have liked news of great battles to filter through from the other side of Japan, and so on. In MTW, if I'm fighting for France I would like to receive delayed news of a fearsome people called the Mongols attacking Russia, or whatever. Any thoughts?

I like the idea of being able to juggle the unit flags at the bottom of the screen. If I have a unit under extreme pressure, I would like to know the unit I select to help is the one nearest to it, instead of frantically searching the battlefield.
As for news from Russia....It is now under Mongol control!!!...........Orda

what might make it into the game is the event of great personalities. eg. Joan d'Arc takes control of french armies.

That sort of news would be fine. I hadn't thought about sorting in battle, I meant on the strategy map. In battle one option is to pause right at the start and group nearby units. If you are careful with the order in which you group them, you can have the flag line-up, left to right, corresponding with the actual deployment.

I dislike how the units are arranged on the field in front of view in the opposite direction to the way they are displayed at the bottom of the screen.
If defending on SP I will rearrange my units so that the left most YS in the display is the left most YS on the field etc. And then start the battle. When attacking I will reorder them as I march so I will have them set up like that as well.
Helps in a hectic situation if the bottom screen matches the top, I can easily tell who is getting hurt or not fighting.
