Hello Caius Flaminius,
Hot ads?
Yes, ads with sexual content.
I think he means the UGO ads...
However, just a few seconds ago I saw an ad for "Star Wars Revisited:History Channel".
Hi Caius Flaminius,
For a tempory fix, to hide the ads, may I suggest that you try the almighty FireFox with AdBlock Plus. It's a brilliant tool in blocking those irritating/noisy things at the bottom of a web-page - it's a perfect tempory solution till they are removed! Hope this helps, cheers!
You want them removed?
*shakes head*
:p
I don't mind them so much as I did that bleeding mosquito one a while back.
You know Orb, kids visit this place.
I was being sarcastic, not actually criticising you.
Anyhow, I don't think we control the ads.
Oh my God, yes! Worst ad ever.Quote:

I agree with CF, if possible they should be removed.
I thirded CF and CA, if possible the ad should be removed. It's a blasphemy.
Hullo Caius,
May I ask if this is the advertisement which you are complaining about:
I'm sorry to disagree, but the content displayed in the advertisement is comparable as to what is in the Babe Thread - although the original advert is simply the face of a female - not even Babe Thread type material. If one was to click on the link then it automatically takes the clicker to a site which contains females, yet they are all clothed and no adult content is viewable or linked to. Since the conditions are exactly the same as the Babe Thread, you have the ultimate choice over whether you click on it or not, I'm sorry to say that I feel that it may be borderline acceptable.
Yes, but the difference between that ad and the babe thread is that you know what is in the babe thread, and therefore can decide to look through it or not. Whereas the ad is planted in front of the person looking at the page.
The difference is choice. In one case you've got the choice, in the other you don't.
Actually, would it be possible to restrict that ad to the babe thread, if it's impossible of removing it completely?
Making references to the Babe thread isn't a defence of the ads. We have a clear policy of no Babes outside the babe thread, these ads display on all the forums.
She was my new gem at the Babe Thread. ~:mecry:
All Flash ads screw the resource allocation mechanics of my Maxthon. You can burn them all up and I'd be a happier man. :2thumbsup:
Weirdly, no floating/static Flash ads located at other websites cause problems with Maxthon. I can't udnerstand.
Myrddraal, your statement is rather vague (to me at least). Are you supporting the removal of the ads or not?

But did it advertise the same idea? To go to Ugo, I mean.
I agree with LEN's sentiment. Each time the forum tries to load an ad from atomicgamer or ugo, it freezes not only this IE window but all I got open until it finished loading the ad. This is also the reason why I had to config my router to specifically block all content from those sites. Now it runs smooth again.
As for babes, I think they should stay in the tavern and the general forums should be 'clean' and userfriendly.
The only advertisement that should be banned from the .org should be that Mosquito one.
An excellent point Myrd.Quote:
