you have to get grumpies .mesh converter.
then you need a program like milkshape
then you must open the obershier and save their armor, open venetian hvy infantry and save their shield, combine them, then open another unit and use thier sword and combine them again.
Or just take like a scotish noble infantry and retexture it to danish.
You have to diddle with the attatchments as well, otherwise they will go wierd and silver/multicoloured. I don't personally understand how the game knows where to get each individual skin from the file, but it seems to work if you create a new texture file and put the texture for your new weapon where the old weapon was, and the new sheild where the old one was, and so on, then redirect the game to that texture file in whatever that file is called that's in the unit model's folder
its simple, get inot milkshape, make ur changes. DONT FORGOT TO REMAP THE UV SETTINGS.
ok now get into the models. and edit the attachments, copy the attachments from the unit u took the weapons from and add them to ur unit.
eg, i created a new unit called saracen infantry. I took the sacrean militia and changed their spear to a sword, also i made a militia sergeant for the hre, have a look.
