Whispers by the Sea - Pontus AAR
Hiya all, this is going to be my first ever AAR, i'm a RTW Veteran and have been playing this mod a little while now, so i thought why the hell not.
I will be playing on VH Campaign and Medium Battles
The Campaign will follow the fortunes of a few select characters as time progresses, some may even interact should the plot develop that way!
Rules
Armies will be raised and disbanded every 10 years without fail.
No units will be merged however re-training is fine
During the Winter months, no army can move anywhere and must be either sieging a Town or within one; forts will be fine.
During invasions or planned attacks the Faction Leader or Heir must be leading the army when the battle begins, unless unable to, in which case a Family member MUST be present.
Captains can lead small armies of no more than 5 units (to put down rebellions mostly)
All wars must be justified unless of course there the aggressor.
Only 25% mercinary units allowed, while only 50% is allowed to be regional troops.
No cheating ever... (Every 10 years i'll toggle fow and show the World as is however that is the only time allowed).

Nice to have a Pontus AAR again. Hope you installed the new mercenary file and one of the money scripts, as otherwise you'll be bored by killing 3 full stacks of Seleucids in on single turn.

Hmm would you believe if i said i had :P no i didn't know what they were lol my challenge to myself was just to go in to it blind.

Do yourself a favor and install these mini mods. Killing multiple stacks of grey death troops almost every turn is what stopped me from continuing my own pontic campaign. That and money problems.

I wish you the best. Pontos was destroyed in my AAR so I never got to see what they are capable of. I will be actively following this :)

Huh? Why? Most people play the other way around (only merge, never retrain)

Why simply because i feel like doing something a bit more challenging and/or different :P theres no real reason behind it other than that :P
@Chirurgeon : Then i hope not to disappont :P lol i don't know too much of what Pontus are capable of myself for similar reasons :D so it should be a challenge.

I think I'll do it too, I'm just tired of killing AS stacks and to stop campains just by boredom (I love heroic victorys, but have to do 2 every turn is bored)...

Pontos are a great faction, once i played a few turns with them and it was fine. Their problem is that they border a giant, and in any game where the AI takes control of them, they die too quickly, they are very, very underpowered. In my Romani campain I pumped almost 5000 to 10000 minai a turn to keep them alive, but they where destroyed. Good luck then. Cheers.
