Happy Independance Day!
A rainy holiday at home beats a sunny day at work every time. Especially a nice gentle soaking rain without the 50 mph winds and lightning we've gotten lately when we did get any rain at all. The ground's pretty thirsty round here.
Today is a good day for inside activities. :painting: Happy day indeed.
Happy day!
Haha, you don't drink! Or do you?Quote:

Thanks, everyone, especially Louis
Around here, we throw an 'a' at the beginning of that word, just to make it look fancier. Otherwise, your talking about people who engage in fingernail hygiene and decoration.Quote:
And please don't ever lose that sense of esthetics !!
OTOH, I guess the maker of that personal monument has problems with the 49th & 50th states.
Happy hotdog and beer and boomski independence day, all! May life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness be achieved by all, everywhere.
Tis was a good day. I had a glass of some excellent Grey Goose vodka with a fine cigar and toasted to our independence. I couldn't have asked for any more.
I sat on my but this independence day. Watched some good movies, and sat on my bycycle watching fireworks downdown. Decent display. I got to the river just in time to see a boat capsize.

Personally I think we should get a holiday for when the group of Maori chiefs and Busby declared our independance in 1835 so that no colonial powers could just invade the country. Instead we just have a holiday for when Maori were conned into joining the Empire by signing a document that was mis-translated and meant to decieve them so Britain could come in and take the country "legally" without getting into trouble with other colonial powers.
