Require help with OpenOffice Page Numbering
Something that is to be simple and clear is not. I require simple page numbering for an OpenOffice text file (.odt). It must commence on the second page and maintain augmentation of one.
The version I utilize is 2.2.0.
The OpenOffice help page is too large to find an immediate clear, effective, concise answer and the help file -- while it shows reasonable directions -- fails me still.
The menu Insert shows Footer then All, Default, and Footnote. Alas, no success, if this is where I must seek. If it takes too much time I am forced to apply an even more primitive manner which is manual numbering using the align buttons.

Although I use OO at home I've never needed to use this function - I can have a look tonight for you though...

A splendid offer. If you know a quick and dirty easy way, please inform me.
In the meanwhile I have found some rough answers here and my problem has been solved (with some shock and muttering complaints regarding the unnecessary complexity involved).

Well, I just checked out your link as well, and all I could think was "Where did I put that PageMaker install disc?" :laugh4:
