Voted Byzantium because Egypt and England start in 2 corners of the map and have access to Crusades/Jihads.
Curious to see how fast you roll over the world from a central starting position and without those Upkeep abolishing steroids. :clown:

Being in the middle of a Catholic/Islamic Sandwich can be a ugly place to leave yourself (potentially) exposed.

I voted for Russia to see how best to handle a faction that does not have crusades / Jihad and has long supply route.
I can't vote, but I'd case mine for Russia. See if you can beat 100 turns - I bet you can.

I voted Byzantium as well, since you commented in your Egyptian campaign that it would be more difficult to play as an Orthodox faction, so I'd like to see you do so.

The Byzantines have access to some tremendous troops early on, and would imo, suit askthepizzaguy's playstyle perfectly.
I think Russia would prove a more interesting thread.

I am halfway through both the Byzantine and Russian campaigns.
Russia: 32 regions turn 50
Byz: 32 regions turn 38
I will be posting both campaigns. Due to Russia's position, I estimate that it takes a good 10 turns to equal the strength of a different faction around turn 1-3.
