Marriages only occur in order?

I've noticed that brides, or princes, will only be presented to one character at a time in M2TW. That is if on one turn you are offered a prince for one of your princesses and you decline because he is some old crappy general wannabe, you will keep getting offers for that one princess every turn or so. The game will never switch to another character, be it another princess or a general, and offer a marriage for them. So you have to get rid of that family member some how.

Has anyone found fix for this? I don't like having a mess of mediocre generals that might steal away the throne from the better side of the family.

Form a marriage alliance with another faction. This isn't moddable unfortunately.
