Campaign problems

In the mod im working on the campaighn wont wonk any more after adding a new race, this normally happens after i add a new race, but it tends to be easily sorted out, sorrting throught the relevent files, etc. But now when ever i try to start a campaign it immediately takes me back to the typr of battle selection ppage, and i cannot even go back to the main campaighn page again. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing my campaighn to not work like this, any problems or file suggestions i should check out would be m,uch aoppreciated, thanks.

By race I'm assuming you mean faction, so I'll ask how many races/factions have you "added" there is a maximum of 21 factions allowed in the game, one of which must be the slave faction.

Also do you have -show_err added to your command line, typically if you do when you exit the game after a kick back to previous menu error, an error message will be generated that may help you track down the error that you've created.

Dont worry, by adding i meant replacing, i dont have more than 21. I also have show_err on, but as trying a campaign dousnt cause a ctd it dousnt say anything, as such the problem must be small enough to only effect campaighn games, as i can still custom battle.

CTD a lot of times don't generate -show_err messages, but a return to previous menu almost always does. Hit Alt-F4 to close RTW after it returns you to the previous menu (or alt-tab out) as exiting normally sometimes make the error go away, at least it does for me.

Sorry, i worked out the problem now. In desc strat i was reffering to a unit i no longer had, only it had been so long since i removed the unit i had forgotten i removed it, thanks for the help anyway.
